Well it depends how sever the scarring is. If the scars are recent then you could try using 'Hirudoid' cream (sp?) from your local chemist. It is meant to be quite effective for scarring. If you want try something more radical then there is always laser resurfacing.
Im talkin good ol scar tissue in the ass from good ol chinese oils.

Grab a 18guage pipe, and stick it into the scar tissue many times to disperse the area, im gonna ask my doc about it tommorow.
My mate had built up scar tissue in his elbow from an injury he had, and his chiro/sports doc, or whatever the fuck he called himself done this stabbing trick, and my friend said he now has zero scar tissue, and no lump.
